    September 13th & 14th

    This is a family fun weekend filled with all things Halloween! Our West Michigan campground will feature a costume and site decorating contest, pumpkin carving and painting, snacks and treats, a Halloween movie, trick-or-treating, prizes, and so much more.   • Movie Nights at the Park

    Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday nights all summer long

    Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday evening, we’re proud to put on a special “Movie Night at the Park” in our pavilion. Feel free to gather a group, bring some blankets, and cozy up for a night of cinematic entertainment summer-style. Our outdoor cinema features a 10×10-foot movie screen and stereo surround sound.

    You can even help us pick the movie lineup each year! Just make a comment on our Facebook page and suggest what you’d like to watch. We’ll see what we can do.

    July 4th at the Campground – Kids Bicycle Parade

    July 4th

    Calling all kids and parents! Show off your holiday spirit by decorating your bikes and wagons in all things red, white, and blue. This patriotic parade through our campground near Silver Lake Sand Dunes is a great way to see and be seen on the 4th of July!

  • Silver Lake Sand Dunes Jeep Invasion

    May 31st- June 1st

    The Silver Lake Sand Dunes Jeep Invasion is a fun filled extended weekend when over a thousand Jeeps “Invade” the sand dunes and take part in trail rides, raffles, food, music, off-road course and much more.

    4th of July Activities

    The 4th of July is a big deal both at our dunes campground and around the Silver Lake area. It’s by far our most popular summer weekend, so if you’re visiting our RV resort over the 4th, expect a ton of things to do for the whole family. Fortunately, our campground in West Michigan is perfectly situated near all the action!

    Below is a list of the weekend’s events, and of course, you’ll notice lots of fireworks! We must emphasize: There’s nothing quite like watching fireworks over a lake, which is why lake camping is always the way to go! Whether it’s the big and spectacular show over Lake Michigan and Silver Lake or the cozy “Hart Sparks” show over quaint Hart Lake, the colors, reflections, and general atmosphere is pure magic.

    July 2nd: Hart Sparks

    7pm – 9:30pm

    Hart Commons: Corner of State and E. Main St., Hart

    Kick off the holiday weekend with “Hart Sparks”! This firework show and entertainment event attracts roughly 4,000 people annually and keeps growing bigger each year.

    Activities include live music from the Blue Rooster Band & the Rocket Fuel Haulers, a 25-foot rock climbing wall, inflatable water slide, free painting station, cornhole tournament, food vendors, and more! The night of fun ends with fireworks over Hart Lake.

    July 3rd – Pentwater Fireworks

    Charles Mears State Park Dusk Fireworks overlooking Lake Michigan will be held in Pentwater — just a 20-minute drive north from our campground near Lake Michigan. Pentwater is a small town with a lot of charm and features great places to shop and eat. Fireworks on the 3rd will be held at dusk.

    Silver Lake Sand Dunes

    Seeing the sparks and colors reflect over the dunes and Silver Lake will give you a firework display like you’ve never seen before. If you can only make it to one firework show this year, let it be this one! There are so many ways to enjoy: Rent a boat on Silver Lake, bring a blanket and walk up the dunes, or simply catch the view lakeside.

  • Apple & BBQ Cook-Off Festival

    September 6th & 7th

    Silver Lake is one of the most popular summer destinations for Michigan camping, but the fun events continue well into the fall too! Fortunately, we’re one of the best fall campgrounds in Silver Lake as well!

    Come visit after Labor Day weekend is over for one of our most famous autumn events: The Apple & BBQ Festival. Your mouth will already be watering as you walk up to the amazing selection of BBQ foods available at this festival. And when you’ve had your fill of barbecue, there are a number of other fun-filled events to enjoy as well:

    • Farm Fresh Apples and Craft Show
    • Classic auto & truck show
    • Dune buggy show
    • Apple pie contest
    • Beer tent
    • Apple-a-Day 5K run/walk
    • Kids activities
