The park features picnic tables and restrooms. To get down to the beach, take the multi-tiered wooden steps through the forest canopy. A great secluded area for spending time at the lake.

Golden Township Park
A small parking lot is the only thing that holds this beach back from being the number one beach in the Silver Lake area. Visitors may notice that this stretch of beach seems to change each year due to the Silver Creek Channel that flows through it to Lake Michigan.
This warm water channel is actually what makes this beach perfect for families—young kids love the channel while older kids and adults are attracted to the Big Lake. Walkers will also have easy access to Little Sable Point Lighthouse on this beach.
Located off Silver Lake Road 1/4 mile north of the Lighthouse.
Happy Mohawk Canoe Livery
The Happy Mohawk Canoe Livery rents canoes, kayaks, rafts, and tubes so that you can enjoy a river trip in the Manistee National Forest any way you want. Located on the White River and designated "Country Scenic" by the State of Michigan, this is one of the best canoe rental establishments in the area.

If you go at the right time, tours of the lighthouse are also available.
At this beach, there is a large parking area, and restroom facilities are nearby. Note: The walk out to the water from the parking lot involves some dune crossing and climbing.
Located 1/2 mile south of Golden Township Park.

Oceana Golf Course
Put your short game to the test on Oceana County's original 18 hole public golf course. Since 1962, Oceana Golf Club has been known for having the best greens in the area. The overall length—6288 from the back tees—is deceiving, so watch out! But the real challenge will be how to play our small, quick, smooth rolling greens.
