Policies

We want our guests to experience a relaxing and enjoyable stay with us every time they visit. For this reason, we have put into place various policies for behavior and etiquette that we feel will benefit everyone.

As is the norm in any Michigan camping environment, respect for your neighbors, your campsite, and Mother Nature is always of the utmost importance.

The following polices have been put into place in order to ensure the most efficient operation of our establishment, and to guarantee the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all of our guests.

 

Policies

Arrival must be by 11pm  The entrance gate closes at this time

Check-in begins at 3pm No set-ups allowed after 11pm

Check-out by 12pm Full rate is charged after 12pm

SITE OCCUPANCY & VEHICLE LIMIT

Site occupancy is one camping unit and two vehicles. The site rate covers two adults and their children 18 and under. Extra adults, kids, and/or camping units are an additional charge.

QUIET HOURS

11pm – 8am. Please be considerate of your neighbors at all times, day and night. NO radios, loud media devices, loud talking or camp set-up after 11pm.  All children under 18 must return to their campsite by dusk.  For safety reasons, the playground area and hammock area are closed at dark.

PERMITTED VEHICLES

At no time will guests be allowed to joy ride or start an ORV such as a quad, 3-wheeler, dirt bike, etc. in the park. Revving engines will not be tolerated. Tune them at the dunes please! Only street legal vehicles are allowed in park. Golf Carts and Scooters must be registered at the office and must be accompanied with a proof of insurance.  RC Cars may be driven in the back of the park (see map). Please do not operate RC cars on roadways or in areas of play. All motorized vehicles & golf carts are to be driven by licensed drivers only.

5-MPH SPEED LIMIT

This speed limit is to be observed at all times throughout the park.

CABINS

Pets and smoking are not allowed for any reason.  Guests found with pets in the cabin will be assessed a $150 per day fee.  Please do not remove mattresses from the beds.

VISITORS

All visitors must register at the office upon arrival, pay a visitor’s fee, and park where directed.  Visitors must leave the park by 10pm. No newly arriving visitors will be admitted after 9pm.

HOLIDAY VISITOR POLICY

No overnight add-on guests will be allowed to be added to a reservation involving holiday weekends.

BIKES

For the safety of riders and pedestrians, there is no bike riding after dark. Bike riding is not allowed on any sidewalks.

PETS

Pets must be kept leashed when outside your camping unit and not left unattended at any time. YOU must clean up all messes. Pets are not allowed in the bathhouse, store, or playground. Pets must not disturb other campers with barking or aggressive behavior. You will need to provide the proper paperwork for service pets. Please be aware that pets are not allowed for cabin rentals.

CAMP FIRES

All campfires should be in fire rings only and never be left unattended. Do not cut firewood on site or put garbage in your campfire. Moving or digging up fire rings will result in a $25 fine. Please be mindful of children around fire, and always put your fire out when retiring for the night.

FIREWORKS, FIREARMS, CHINESE LANTERNS, & DRONES

These are prohibited in the resort at all times.

GARBAGE DISPOSAL

Dumpsters and recyclable bins are located as you exit the park. Please dispose of all garbage in the correct receptacles.

SITE MAINTENANCE

Do not dig trenches or holes or play horseshoes or any other game which may damage the campsite. Campsites must be kept clean during the length of your stay.  Please respect our property and leave the campsite as it was found.  Breathable camping mats must be used if your stay is longer than three days.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

Any damage to our resort will be charged to the registered responsible party, and you may be evicted from the resort. Parents or guardians will be held responsible and financially liable for actions of their children, wards, visitors, and themselves.

ALCOHOL

Alcohol is allowed at your own site in moderation and in unmarked containers.  At no time will alcohol be allowed in the bathhouse, camp store, or swimming pool. 

PROFANITY

Profanity of any kind will not be tolerated. This is a family campground, and we ask that you respect other guests.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations received 14 or more days prior to arrival will be fully refunded less a $25 fee per reservation made. Cancellations within 14 of scheduled stay will result in NO refund.  There are no refunds for early departures.

EVICTION

If security or management has to come to your site for any disruptive behavior, you will be asked to leave in a quiet and orderly fashion. If you do not, the authorities will be called. We value your patronage, but we will not tolerate guests who disrespect their neighbors or our property.

SWIMMING POOL

Pool hours are 10am to 10pm or dusk. No lifeguards are on duty, so you SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. No running, jumping, or rough play. Small inflatables are allowed in the pool as long as they are not bothersome to other swimmers. Swimmers need to shower prior to entering the pool area and have proper swimming attire. Music is permitted as long as it is through the use of headphones. Children under the age of 14 must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Children who are not yet toilet trained must wear swimming diapers or “swimmies.” No food, alcohol, or smoking is allowed in the pool area.

POND

For liability reasons and your safety, please do not swim in the pond.

OTHER

  1. We CANNOT guarantee any specific site at any time unless the site guarantee fee is paid.
  2. You MUST BE 21 TO RESERVE A CAMPSITE. Groups of adults who are not accompanied by a parent must ALL be at least 21 to lodge.
  3. We do not allow Saturday arrivals or departures.   If your stay includes a weekend night, you must select both nights to make the reservation.
  4. There is a $25 fee on NSF checks. We do not accept checks at the time of check-in.
